The first invention I learned about this week was vapor compression. Oliver Evens wrote an engineering book about his theory of vapor compression. Later people start to follow the book, and one person made the first refrigerator and had a success with it in the food industry. It changed history for the better because people now can save food longer without it rotting or going bad.
The second thing I learned about was Oliver Evens an inventor. He was very creative and solved many milling problems. He developed high pressure steam engines, and found people to help market his inventions. Oliver Evens contributed to modern manufacturing and air condition environments.
The third invention I learned about was cap ignition. John Forsyth invented cap ignition because one day he had a lot of problems well he was duck hunting. One of the problems he had was his gun produced a lot of smoke when fired and it scared the ducks away . The cap ignition was was a lot better then the old system, the benefits of cap ignition is it fired faster, worked in wet weather, and produced less smoke. John did not succeed in his business but the others that followed his invention in America did. Because of John’s design it led to new bullet designs and also made Wells Fargo the largest bank in the world and the revolver was invented.
The last invention I learned about was canning. It started out with soldiers needing large amounts of food without it rotting. Nicolas Appert invented the canning process. The benefits of the canning process are cheap, perseveres food tastes, and nutritional value over time. Even today can food plays a pretty important role in our lives.
One thing to motivate inventors is to keep trying to help others, I think it would motivate them because helping others may reward you later on in life so I think helping others is a good motive. The second thing to motivate you is to have an idea that improves an older invention. The improvements to the new inventions may make something faster, more efficient, and easier to use. There is always room to improve on an invention.
