Writing Assignment: Write a two to three paragraph essay on your favorite part of the World Tour from this week.
This week we did a world tour. My favorite part was Greece. Ancient Greece was one of the first civilizations in Europe. Although there success they still got taken down by Rome. The two types of people were the Minoan and Mycenaean’s. The Minoans were much more peaceful then the Mycenaean’s. The Mycenaean’s were much more warlike. The Minoans lived on a island called Crete. The island of Crete was about 160 miles long. The Minoans also inhabited island around Crete. They built huge mansion like houses.
Mycenaean’s lived on the main land of Greece. The Mycenaean’s farmed a lot more because they had much better soil. The Mycenaean’s built much different homes then the Minoans. The Mycenaean’s house were like fortress. The house were strong and sturdy. Both groups did use a form of writing. Linear A and Linear B. Only Linear A was deciphered. That was why Ancient Greece was my favorite culture to learn about this week.
