Compare and contrast the stories of Dr. Boekman’s son Lauren’s, and the prodigal son in Luke 15. Think about similarities in the characters:
The Prodigal Son and Lauren Boekman have a lot of similarities. They both ran away from home. They both thought that their fathers would be ashamed of what they have done. One they both returned the fathers were very happy to see them. Once the Prodigal son came back, he is broke. But Lauren has money and was good at crafting skates. Lauren came home because he got a letter from his dad. But instead the Prodigal son had came home because he had sinned, even though what he did his father still welcomed him home. The reason Lauren ran away was because she poisoned someone on mistake. The Prodigal son ran away because he thought he would have a much better life on his own. This just shows how similar these people are.
