History lesson 30

Write a one to two page paper on the following topic. Think about the culture of the Egyptians. Why was death and the afterlife such an important part of Egyptian culture? Use examples of where this focus can be seen in their religion, architecture, and burial process.

The Egyptian culture believes in immortality. Which makes death and afterlife really important. When Egyptians died, they would mummified the body that way the soul could then return to the body. Egyptians believed the dead would come back to life and go to there body to live and breath. Because of the amount of people that died frequently from sickness and disease, there belief was that after life would be immune to illness and disease. That was then very comforting to the Egyptian people. As you can see, immortality is the reason why the afterlife is so important to the ancient Egyptian culture.
