Write a biographical essay on one of the rulers of Israel that you learned about this week. You can choose any of the rulers from Joshua through Saul.
For this essay I chose to write about Joshua. Joshua was Moses’s assistant before he died. Joshua became the first judge after the passing of Moses. Before Moses death, he sent 11 spies to scout the land of Canaan. Then Moses died. Joshua then led the tribes to Canaan. The Israelites had to cross the river to get there. At the time they had to cross the waters but they were unusually high at the time. So God drains some of the waters to create a dry path for Israelites to cross. Joshua then destroyed Jericho and Ai with the help of the Israelites.
