History lesson 50

Summarize the life of one of the kings of Israel that we studied this week:

The king I chose to write about was David. David was the second king of Israel. He was one of the most influential kings in history. David was the youngest out of 7 sons. He was a shepherd for his father. When David was young he took down Goliath with a sling and 5 stones. After the act of David, Saul became jealous of him because of the praise he got. As a result of the jealousy, Saul attempted to kill David but failed.

David reigned 7 years in Hebron before moving the capital to Jerusalem. Later David built a magnificent palace for himself in Jerusalem. Then David wanted the Ark of the Covenant a better house as well, so he moved it to Jerusalem. He was not able to build the temple he desired for it. But instead his son Solomon would. After David’s death Solomon was then the king of Israel. That’s is my week 10 essay on David’s life.
