The bioactive compounds in cocoa may improve blood flow in the arteries and cause a small but significant decrease in blood pressure. Dark chocolate can even help against heart disease risk. Research shows those who consume a moderate amount of chocolate has a reduction of heart risk.

Dark chocolate can help you’re brain. Cocoa or dark chocolate may improve brain function by increasing blood flow. It also contains stimulants like caffeine and theobromine. It helps young people improve attention and verbal learning. The cocoa flavonoids may also help maintain cognitive function in older adults with mild cognitive impairment and reduce the chance of progressing of dementia.
