English lesson 80

Choose one of the cultures that is described in Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days. Summarize his description of this culture, and feel free to include any additional information that you may know about the culture you choose.

In this weeks essay I will be talking about Hong Kong culture as described in the book Around the World in 80 days. Hong Kong is a island which came to the possession by the English after the war in 1842. The English had also created an important city and an amazing port. The island of Hong Kong is positioned at the mouth of the Canton River, and is about sixty miles away from the Portuguese town Macao. Some extra facts I know about Hong Kong are that its population is 7.413 million. Did you also know that Hong Kong International Airport is the same size as 20 soccer fields!

That was all the culture of Hong Kong from Around the World in 80 Days and more. That is the end of my essay for lesson 80.
