This Essay is about the life and culture between 2 Ancient Greek city’s, these cities being Athens and Sparta. The city called Sparta was determined to have a strong military. In Sparta, children at the of age 7 were taken to military barracks to be trained for war. Those children were taught to live in poor conditions. If the children stole the food and they got caught with it, they were beaten for it. Married couples couldn’t have been seen together. They had to sneak out with each other in secret.
The city of Athens was focused more on having a good trade and marketplace. The children at the age of 7 would choose from three different schools to go to. These schools were Grammatistes which focused on history, writing, and arithmetic. Then there was Kitharistes which taught music and poetry. Final there was Paidotribe which taught dancing and athletics. That is my week 15 History essay.
