Use what you learned from the video lessons and reading assignments this week to write a summary of the story of the Iliad, the Odyssey, or the Aeneid.
This week I chose to write about the Story called Odyssey. This will be a short review of it. The author of the book is Homer he is a ancient Greek bard who is most famous for writing the Iliad and the Odyssey. It starts of with the main character Odysseus. Odysseus is the king of Ithaca, he had to leave his family to go fight in the Trojan War. He did not want to go because he had heard a prophecy that he would not return to his home for 20 years. Eventually, he had to leave Ithaca to fight.
10 years later he was leaving the Trojan war. He still had a another 20 years the prophecy said. It took him 10 years to get home. So he had some adventures. He fought a Cyclops, found and escaped from a sorceress that turned most of his men into pigs, and sailed through rough seas. When Odysseus got home his son (Telemachos) was about to be the king and his wife (Penelope) had many suitors. Odysseus and his son killed the suitors and the family was back together after 10 or more years. That my Essay for Week 13 of History.
