Retell the story of Queen Esther in your own words.
Today in this writing we will be talking about Queen Ester so let’s get in to this essay. Let’s start of with why the King was looking for a new Queen. King Xerxes was having a party to celebrate their win because they had won a war and King Xerxes wanted his wife, Queen Vashti one of the most beautiful women in that region to come to the party and wear her crown to show how beautiful she was. So, he wrote a letter telling her to come. But she refused and that made Xerxes wicked mad. He thought if any of the women heard of this they would disobey their husbands too. So, Xerxes exiled Vashti and took away her spot as Queen. Xerxes called for a bunch of women to please him with their beauty so he would be able to find a new Queen. Hadassah which soon would be called Esther was a Jew but no one could know. So, after a year of being beautified she presented herself to the King. And in her beauty, he chose her to be his Queen and she became Queen Esther.
In most stories it would have ended there but Haman the Agagite came and saw that Ester’s cousin was not giving him the respect he thought he deserved so he wanted all the Jews dead. He went to Xerxes and asked if his army could help him kill a sort of people, he did not say the Jews. And the King said yes right away Ester’s cousin told Ester to run but Ester said tell the other Jews to pray and fast for her because she was going to talk to the King. It was impolite to talk to the King if you were not called. So, she went to the King and the King was pleased with Ester. Ester asked if he could stop Haman agreement to kill all the Jews. The King was very mad that Haman meant the Jews and killed him and his entire family line and told Ester he could not stop the deal but could change it and said that the Jews could fight back and they did.
