Writing Assignment: Write a one to two page paper summarizing the life of Jesus Christ
Before Jesus was born, Mary and Joseph had to move from Nazareth to Bethlehem because Augustus Caesar was having a census and they were not citizens of Nazareth. God told them to go to Bethlehem to have Jesus. It was a long time before they got to Bethlehem, and when they did, all of the hotels were taken up. So they had to have Jesus in a stable. A star pointed to where Jesus was born and some Wiseman wanted to see what was happening. They asked the king Herod where the new king was being born, because the star meant that a king was born. Well, Herod was the king and when he heard that there was a new king he was mad and he told the Wiseman to tell him where the baby was. That night they had a dream and an angel told them not to tell Herod.
When Jesus grew older he and his family went to a temple. When they were getting ready to leave they realized that they forgot Jesus. They looked for him for three days and finally they found him in the temple talking to the priest.
A long time later when Jesus was an adult. Mary his mom, was at a wedding. At the wedding they ran out of wine. That was really really bad back then because the people would not be happy at all. Mary asked Jesus to help. Jesus decided to help and Mary told a servant to do whatever Jesus said to do. Jesus then told him to get some jugs, fill them with water and then Jesus turned the water into wine. When they drank the wine they said that the wine was much better.
Jesus did many more things like getting baptized, and performed miracles like healing people who could not walk, and who were sick, or blind.
Lastly I will talk about the death of Jesus Christ. Jesus and his disciples were having a last supper and Jesus said something that made Judas, the one who betrayed Jesus leave. When that was over Jesus left and went to the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus asked for James, Peter, and John to follow him and the rest to stay there. Then Jesus said he wanted to pray and Peter, James, and John fell asleep. When Jesus came back he found them asleep, he prayed two more times and then when he came back he told them to wake up. He told them that the betrayal is coming and then Judas comes out and kisses Jesus to signal the soldiers who to arrest. They took him to a trial and they said he was guilty. The next day he was brought to the emperor Pontius Pilate to ask him if they could kill him. He asked all the people and they said to kill him on the cross. Then Jesus carried the cross up the hill and then they hung him. Then Pontius Pilate wrote a sign that he put on the cross and it said: Jesus of Nazareth, king of the Jews.
