Search for a big city you live in or near using Wikipedia. Find the section on climate and investigate what it’s like. Write a 150 word article on the characteristics of your local climate. Imagine that you are writing this article to a friend who is thinking about moving to your area and wants to learn about the climate.
I live near New York city. Here is a couple things about the climate of the state. First of the winters here are very bitter cold and snowy. NY on average get’s about 30 inches of snowfall a winter. That is not including all the snow in spring and fall. In the winter’s you have to shovel your driveway or have someone snowplow it once every couple days. Overall the winters in New York are really fun and enjoyable.
The summers are very tropical but not to humid in NY. You have access to many lakes in New York. You can swim, get ice cream, and have stunning weather all summer long. Not to forget but you will have the most beautiful country drive’s everywhere. I would recommend anyone to move to New York if you like having four seasons. I hope you liked my essay.
