Assignment: Write a one to two paper about a time when your family faced a challenge (big or small) and explain how you helped out in finding a solution.
A problem that my family faced was that stairs broke going up in my house. So how we fixed it was we went and got some wood. We had to build a new platform to attach the stringers. So we build the platform and cut the stringers to length. We had to measure and cut a few times to make the stringers fit. We then had to add the treads on the stringers to get up the stairs. After those were finished we had to get more wood to make railings. After we cut and screwed the railings on, we had to make a platform up top to step into the house. Then we made beams attached to the house and braced it all around. We then just laid the boards across the deck and put up the railings and we were done.
It was difficult to build, but we all worked together and completed it in a matter of days. The only thing left to do is paint it. I hope you liked my essay.
