Development and environmentalism are popular topics with environmentalists. Environmentalists say that development should be stopped entirely to “protect the environment”, which would lose hundreds of jobs and millions of people would not have homes to live in. They are completely against any kind of development that “damages” the environment.
Resisting the Fall is about healing Creation to serve our needs in a more productive way using the arts and sciences. It is also about aiding Creation to become the best it can be.
Natural resources, science, and technological innovation are all things that were given to and assigned to us by God. Environmentalists fail to see that natural resources are here for humanities needs and thereby refusing to acknowledge that God can provide for everything that we need, no matter the consumption rate. They say that many resources we depend on are close to being extinguished, even though people have been saying that for hundreds of years.
Pollution is a real problem, but not in the way that environmentalists put it. Pollution is the introduction of non-natural materials into the environment that causes unwanted negative effects on the natural world. The way environmentalists put it as anything done by humans to affect nature, from agriculture to industry.
Extinction is another favorite subject of environmentalists. They claim that humans are no better than cattle or flies, even though in Genesis 1:28 the Bible says “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” Therefore by saying that humans are no better than animals, the environmentalists are not raising the animals up, they are lowering humanity down.
