English lesson 45

The way an author writes and narrates their story is indicative of their writing style. The Setting is where the time and place of a book takes place. I’ll explain both of them in this essay.

The way an author writes and the topics they typically write about define their writing style. I find G. A. Henty’s writing style to be very intriguing because he always goes in to detail with the plots. Additionally, he writes mostly historical fiction, which is set in historical periods such as the Cival War for example. There is a lot of fighting in The Knight of the White Cross by G. A. Henty because it takes place during the War of Roses.

Because G. A. Henty’s books typically take place in well-known historical eras, their settings are also very fascinating. The War of Roses is the era in which his book, The Knight of the White Cross, is set in. Since the War of Roses was a real historical event, The Knight of the White Cross is historical fiction.

This was a short overview of the writing style and book setting of the author G.A. Henty. Among the books I have read this year, G. A. Henty is my all-time favorite author so far. His writing style appeals to me since it avoids excessive dialogue or mundane descriptions of objects. Additionally, I find his book settings to be very intriguing because of the historical side of them. I hope you liked my essay. Thank you for reading.
