Writing assignment, 250 words. “What would I have to give up in order to save 10% of my income?”
To save 10% of my income would require some simple but kind of hard steps. First off, I don’t have a steady source of income. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways I can save what I have. To save more of my income, I would stop going out to eat so much. For example, look at going out to eat. If I got a cheeseburger from McDonald’s every day, that small amount of three dollars a day adds up to a little over a thousand dollars a year. That is only one tiny cheeseburger a day. As you can see, by cutting out going out to eat, that is a big way to save my income. With how high prices are now, this total price will only go up year after year.
Second is my screen time. Between my phone time, computer time, and TV time, it is a huge amount of time wasted. You may not think so, but I look at it as every minute on a screen is a minute wasted that could be spent building my business. An example of how this adds up is imagining each hour you work on your business is worth 15 dollars; after a year of one hour a day, that is almost 4,000 dollars. Maybe after this, you won’t want to spend so much time on your screens.
To be able to save 10% of my income, I will have to cut back on these two huge things. First is eating out. Second is cutting back on screen time. By doing these simple switches, I will be able to save almost 5,000 dollars. Even cutting back on these two simple things will have a big effect on my savings and income.
